Heatmap by asset class

Each tile is one perp market. Colour depth is relative to the biggest move on the map in the selected window, so a quiet day still shows which markets lead.

How to read the tiles

Colour
Green means the price is higher than at the start of the window, red lower, grey unchanged. Depth scales with the size of the move against the largest one on the map.
24 hours
The change reported by the BRVX rates feed for the last 24 hours.
7 days
The latest daily close against the daily close seven days earlier, from the same candles the price charts use.
Groups
Tiles are grouped by asset class, the way the markets are listed in the app: crypto, stocks, commodities, forex and the index.

Heatmap questions

Is this the S&P 500 heatmap?

No. It maps the 41 markets you can trade on BRVX, including 17 stocks, crypto, commodities, EUR/USD and a Nasdaq-100 tracker, not every S&P 500 company.

Why is a tile deep green on a small move?

Colour is relative. On a quiet day the largest move might be 2%, and that tile gets the deepest colour. Read the number on the tile for the size.

Does the heatmap work on weekends?

Yes. BRVX quotes stock, commodity and index perps 24/7, so the map keeps changing on Saturday and Sunday.

Where do the numbers come from?

From the public BRVX rates and chart APIs. Nothing is typed in by hand, and the page refreshes at most every five minutes.
