How the figures are worked out
- Rate per period
- The settlement fee from the public tariffs API, as a share of position size, charged once per settlement period.
- Per day on $1,000
- $1,000 of position size × rate × periods in 24 hours. Position size is margin times leverage, so 10x on $100 of margin is $1,000.
- Per year
- Rate × periods in 365 days. Held for a week, a position pays about 1/52 of this figure.
- Fees are separate
- Opening and closing fees are charged on top of funding. Both are shown per market in the screener and on the fees page.
Leverage works both ways: a small move against you can lose you the whole margin.

How often is funding charged on BRVX?
Every hour on 40 of 41 markets. XYZ100 settles every 3 hours.
Do shorts get paid funding?
No, not on the current rates. Both the long and the short rate are above zero on every market, so both sides pay.
Why is the yearly figure so high?
Because it adds up every period in a year. Funding is a holding cost: a trade kept open for hours pays a small slice of it, one kept open for months pays much more.
Do the rates change?
They can. The table reads the live tariffs, so a change shows up here within an hour. The rate in the app when you open the position is the one that applies.
Is BTC funding the same as on other exchanges?
No. BRVX sets its own rate per market and side, it does not follow another exchange's funding.
