About Dogecoin
What Dogecoin is
Dogecoin started in December 2013 as a joke by software engineers Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer, using the Shiba Inu dog from the popular doge meme as its logo. It grew into one of the most widely recognised cryptocurrencies anyway, used for tipping online and small payments. Dogecoin is a proof-of-work chain derived from Litecoin's code and is often mined alongside it. Unlike Bitcoin it has no maximum supply: a fixed number of new coins is created with each block, so the supply keeps growing by the same amount every year.
What moves DOGE
More than most coins, Dogecoin trades on attention. Posts by Elon Musk, who has repeatedly promoted it, have triggered some of its sharpest rallies, and social-media trends, celebrity mentions and talk of payment integrations can do the same. When the crypto market is in a risk-on mood, meme coins tend to rise faster than Bitcoin, and they tend to fall faster when that mood turns. Heavy use of leverage on DOGE derivatives makes those swings sharper.
Why Dogecoin supply keeps growing
Dogecoin has no cap. About five billion new DOGE are issued every year as mining rewards, so supply grows forever, while its share of total supply falls each year. That makes DOGE different from Bitcoin: holders face steady dilution, and big rallies usually need a fresh wave of attention rather than scarcity. Traders often compare DOGE with other meme coins to see whether money is flowing into the meme sector as a whole or into Dogecoin alone. Dogecoin also has a long record of payment experiments: merchants, sports teams and tipping bots have accepted it at various times. Each new payment announcement from a large company tends to produce a short, sharp move that often fades within days.
Dogecoin on BRVX
Dogecoin is listed on BRVX as DOGE/USDT. It is a synthetic perp: you take a view on the DOGE price and never mine, tip or hold a single coin. DOGE belongs to the lower-leverage group on BRVX, capped at 80x rather than 100x, because a meme coin can move several percent in minutes. Funding on DOGE runs 0.0023% for longs every hour. A sudden post-driven spike can lose the DOGE margin before you can react, so set the stop when you open.

Step-by-step long and short: how to trade Dogecoin.
Where is Dogecoin trading right now?
DOGE/USDT is at 0.0818 USDT right now, −3.24% on the day. Meme coins reprice fast, so reload before you size a Dogecoin trade.
Will there ever be a maximum number of Dogecoin?
No. DOGE adds a fixed number of coins every year with no end date. The inflation rate falls over time only because the base keeps getting bigger.
Why is DOGE capped lower than Bitcoin on BRVX?
Each market has its own limit. DOGE stops at 80x, compared with 150x on BTC, because meme coins swing harder; even so, leverage there can lose the DOGE margin quickly.
Is Dogecoin quoted on Saturday night?
Yes. DOGE/USDT trades 24/7, and meme-coin rallies often start on weekends when social feeds are busiest and markets are thinner.
How much does Dogecoin move in a day?
5.61% on an average DOGE day (30 sessions); peak range 17.06% on Sep 22; 15 up, 14 down. At 50x, 2% against you equals the margin, which you can lose.
What does $100 of margin buy on DOGE?
61,151 DOGE at the default 50x, or 97,841 DOGE if you push it to 80x — both priced off 0.0818 USDT. A loss scales the same way as the position.
What is Dogecoin's record high on BRVX?
0.4335 USDT, set Jan 19, 2025 — the highest DOGE/USDT print since BRVX started recording it on Jan 2, 2025. It now sits −80.53% under that, at 0.0844. The floor so far: 0.0677 USDT (Aug 2, 2026).
Is Dogecoin still tradable on Saturday and Sunday?
Yes, around the clock. DOGE has averaged 3.34% of weekend movement against 2.91% on a weekday since Jan 2, 2025, and leverage scales either one.
