On BRVX a long and a short are opened from the same form with one switch: Buy for a long, Sell for a short. You enter the amount, set leverage from 5x up to the market's maximum, and the order fills at the market price; BRVX has no limit or stop orders.

Long versus short at a glance
| Side | Gains when | Costs |
|---|---|---|
| Long (Buy) | the price rises | open and close fee, hourly funding |
| Short (Sell) | the price falls | the same fee rate; funding may differ by side |
Position size and leverage
Position size equals margin times leverage. With 100 USDT at 20x you control 2,000 USDT of exposure, and fees are charged on that full size.
Short selling works the same way on every class, so you can short a stock or oil without borrowing shares or barrels.
