How the liquidation price is calculated
Three steps, the same rule the app uses when it shows the liquidation price on the ticket.
Position = margin × leverage
Your margin controls a bigger position. $100 at 10x controls $1,000 of NVIDIA.
size = margin × leverageBoth fees come out of margin
On NVDA the fee to open is 0.05% of the position, so a $1,000 position costs $0.50. Closing is charged at the same rate, on the position size at the close.
fee = size × 0.05%Closed at 80% of margin
The app closes the position when the price loss plus both fees reach 80% of the margin. At 10x that is a move of about 7.9% against you.
loss + fees = 0.8 × margin
Leverage works both ways: a small move against you can lose you the whole margin.

Liquidation price, answered
What is a liquidation price?
It is the price at which a leveraged position is closed automatically. On BRVX that happens when the loss, fees included, reaches 80% of the margin.
How is the liquidation price calculated?
The price can move about 0.8 ÷ leverage against you, minus the opening and closing fee. A long at 10x is closed about 8% below entry, a short about 8% above.
Why can the real number differ?
This page uses the app's rule on the last price. Funding paid while you hold and the actual fill price move it, so check the position in the app before you open.
Does higher leverage bring liquidation closer?
Yes. At 50x the price only needs to move about 1.5% against you, at 5x about 16%. Up to 150x is available, but lower leverage leaves more room.
How can I keep a position away from liquidation?
Use lower leverage, or set a stop-loss before the price reaches liquidation. The position size calculator shows how big a position fits your risk.
Is the liquidation price the same for long and short?
The distance is almost the same, the direction is not. A long is liquidated below the entry price, a short above it.
