Trade indices with crypto

On BRVX, one XYZ100 position covers a whole basket of stocks instead of a single company. Go long or short with up to 70x leverage and USDC, BTC, ETH, USDT, SOL or BNB as margin.

Index moves are smoother than single stocks, but leverage still multiplies them.

What is index trading on BRVX?

An index follows a basket of stocks as one number. On BRVX you trade XYZ100, a perpetual that tracks the Nasdaq-100 index: it follows the index level in USDT, never expires, and can be traded long or short with up to 70x leverage. You post crypto as margin, pay 0.05% to open and 0.05% to close, and funding is settled every 3h. You own none of the stocks in the index.

Leverage works both ways: a small move against you can lose you the whole margin.

One trade, a whole basket

Why traders use an index instead of, or next to, single stocks.

  • Diversified

Less single-company risk One weak earnings report moves a stock a lot and an index a little. The basket smooths out surprises from any one name.

  • Market view

Trade the big picture Rate decisions, inflation data and earnings seasons move the market as a whole. An index lets you trade that view directly.

  • Hedge

Protect stock positions Holding long stock positions? A short on the index can soften a broad drop without closing them.

Long Your stocks Short Index short Combined
  • 3h

Slower funding cycle Funding on XYZ100 is settled every 3h rather than every hour, so there are fewer settlements while you hold.

Market up or market down

Illustrative example on XYZ100, before fees and funding.

A short on the index can offset losses on stock positions during a broad sell-off. At 10x, a move of about 8% against you closes the position, with 80% of the margin lost.
