About Sui
What Sui is
Sui is a layer-1 blockchain developed by Mysten Labs, a team that previously worked on Meta's Diem project. Its smart contracts are written in Move, and it stores data as individual objects rather than one shared account table, so transactions that touch different objects can be processed in parallel. The network runs on proof-of-stake. SUI is the native token: it pays gas, is staked with validators and is used to vote on protocol changes.
