About Aster
What Aster is
Aster is an on-chain venue for perpetual futures, active mainly on BNB Chain. Users trade from their own wallets, and the platform competes with other on-chain perp venues such as Hyperliquid. ASTER is the exchange's token, used in its governance and incentive programs. It is a young project, so its token history is short.
What moves the ASTER price
The main signals are the exchange's own numbers: trading volume, open interest and fees, compared with rival perp DEXs. Airdrop and reward rounds, token unlocks and support from figures in the BNB Chain ecosystem have caused large moves. Like other new tokens, ASTER can rise or fall far more in a day than established coins.
ASTER against its rivals
ASTER is priced as a bet on one question: can Aster win volume from other on-chain perp venues? Its volume and open interest are compared week by week with those rivals, and its token got an early lift from vocal support in the BNB Chain community. Rewards seasons, when users collect points for trading, can inflate volume, so traders look at how much activity stays after a season ends. ASTER supply is still mostly locked, so each scheduled release is a known event on the calendar. Buyback announcements funded from the exchange's fees, when they happen, are the counterweight traders compare against those releases.
ASTER on BRVX
Trading ASTER/USDT on BRVX is separate from trading on Aster: BRVX runs its own synthetic perp on the ASTER price, with no connection to Aster's platform or rewards. ASTER sits in the 0.05% fee group, and ASTER leverage runs from 5x to 100x. Longs pay 0.0046% of funding every hour now. ASTER is young, and at leverage one bad day can lose the ASTER margin.
