BRVX Glossary · Synthetic assets · Updated September 24, 2026

A synthetic asset is a financial instrument that reproduces the price movement of another asset — a stock, a commodity, a currency — without the holder owning that asset. Derivatives such as perpetual futures and CFDs are synthetic exposure: you gain or lose with the price, but hold no share, barrel or coin.

The formula

Your PnL Price move × Position size no share, barrel or coin held

You get the price exposure of the asset without owning it, and without owner rights such as votes or dividends.

How it works

  1. Underlying Stock, gold, index
  2. Price feed Tracks it
  3. Contract Price exposure only

Why synthetic exposure exists

It separates price from ownership. A trader who only wants to express a view on a price — up or down, with leverage — does not need the custody, settlement and account structure that ownership brings. The trade-off is that nothing stands behind the position except the contract and the venue.

Synthetic markets on BRVX

Every BRVX market, including NVDA/USDT, TSLA/USDT and SAMSUNG/USDT, is a synthetic perpetual quoted in USDT. There are no shares held behind these positions and no claim on the companies. Stock perpetuals on BRVX trade 24/7, including when the home exchange is closed.

Questions about Synthetic assets

Do I own the stock with a synthetic asset?

No. You hold a contract that tracks the price. There are no dividends and no voting rights.

Are BRVX stock perps tokenised stocks?

No. They are synthetic perpetuals quoted in USDT, with no shares behind them.

Why trade a synthetic instead of the stock?

For leverage, easy shorting, stablecoin margin and 24/7 trading. The cost is that you get price exposure only.

Leverage works both ways: a small move against you can lose you the whole margin.
