About Alphabet
Google and Alphabet
Alphabet is the holding company that owns Google. Most of its revenue still comes from advertising on Google Search and YouTube; the other large pieces are Google Cloud, subscriptions and devices, plus smaller bets such as the self-driving unit Waymo. It develops the Gemini AI models and its own AI chips, called TPUs. Alphabet has two listed share classes on Nasdaq: GOOGL (Class A, with votes) and GOOG (Class C, without). BRVX tracks GOOGL.
What moves Google stock
Investors split the quarterly report into search ad growth, YouTube, and Google Cloud revenue and margins. Since generative AI arrived, a second question sits on top: whether chatbots eat into search or whether Google turns AI into more usage and cloud demand. Capital spending on data centers, antitrust rulings in the US and Europe about search and ad tech, and launches of new Gemini models all move the price.
GOOGL on BRVX
Alphabet's Class A share appears on BRVX as GOOGL/USDT. The Nasdaq session covers six and a half hours on weekdays; court rulings in Europe or a Gemini launch often land outside that window, and the BRVX line for Google responds as they happen. An open Alphabet position pays funding hourly, and since only Google's price is tracked, the Class A vote stays with real shareholders.
