BRVX Glossary · Chart patterns · Updated September 25, 2026
Chart patterns are recognisable shapes that price forms over many candles — such as triangles, flags, double tops and head and shoulders — which traders use to anticipate whether a trend will continue or reverse and where price might go after a breakout.

Continuation patterns
- Flags and pennants: short pauses after a sharp move.
- Triangles: converging trend lines that break in either direction.
- Rectangles: range between flat support and resistance.
Reversal patterns
- Head and shoulders and inverse head and shoulders.
- Double top and double bottom.
- Rounding tops and bottoms.
Confirming a breakout
A pattern counts when price closes beyond its boundary, ideally on higher volume. False breakouts are common; many traders wait for a retest of the broken level before entering and place the stop back inside the pattern.
On BRVX
Patterns can be drawn on the BRVX TradingView chart on any timeframe from 1 minute to 1 month. On weekends, BRVX stock perpetual prices keep moving, so a breakout can happen while the stock exchange is closed.
Questions about Chart patterns
What is the difference between chart patterns and candlestick patterns?
Candlestick patterns use one to three candles; chart patterns form over dozens.
Which chart pattern is most reliable?
None is reliable alone; head and shoulders and double tops are the most studied.
Do chart patterns work in crypto?
They are used the same way; around-the-clock trading removes session gaps.
