Fees & funding · 3 min

BRVX charges funding on open positions every hour, except the XYZ100 index, where it is every 3 hours. The rate is a percentage of position size set per market and side: BTC longs pay 0.0205% per hour and shorts 0.0171%.

Who pays

On BRVX the published rate is above zero for both long and short, so both sides pay while a position is open. On most markets the two rates are equal; on BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP and gold they differ.

What it adds up to

A 1,000 USDT long on BTC pays 0.2055 USDT each hour, or 4.93 USDT over a day.

On stocks the hourly rate is lower: Nvidia longs pay 0.0023% per hour. Over weeks it still adds up, so funding matters more the longer you hold.

Keep funding low

  • Hold high-leverage positions for hours, not weeks.
  • Compare the long and short rate before choosing a side on BTC or ETH.
  • Check the rate on the market's price page before opening.
