BRVX Glossary · Doji candlestick · Updated September 25, 2026
A doji is a candlestick whose open and close are at or very near the same price, leaving almost no body and a cross-like shape. It signals indecision between buyers and sellers during that period and can hint at a reversal when it appears after a strong trend.
Types of doji
- Standard doji: small wicks both sides.
- Long-legged doji: long wicks both sides — large range, no winner.
- Dragonfly doji: long lower wick, close near the high — buyers rejected lower prices.
- Gravestone doji: long upper wick, close near the low — sellers rejected higher prices.
Reading it in context
A doji in a range means little. After a long rally into resistance, a doji shows buyers losing control; traders usually wait for the next candle to close in the opposite direction before acting.
On BRVX
On the BRVX TradingView chart the same doji looks different across timeframes: a 1-minute doji is noise, a weekly one is a signal many traders see. BRVX stock perpetuals trade on weekends, so their daily candles include Saturday and Sunday.
