BRVX Glossary · Leverage · Updated September 24, 2026

Leverage is the ratio between the size of a trading position and the margin that backs it. At 10x leverage, 100 USDT of margin controls a position worth 1,000 USDT, so every price move changes the result ten times as much as it would without leverage — in both directions.

The formula

Position size Margin × Leverage Margin Position size ÷ Leverage

The multiplier scales the position, so every price move lands on the margin that many times over.

How it works

  1. Margin 100 USDT
  2. Leverage 10x
  3. Position 1,000 USDT

The formula

Position size (notional) = margin × leverage. Margin = notional ÷ leverage. The multiplier does not change the price of the asset or the fee rate; it changes how big a position a given amount of margin can hold.

Because profit and loss are calculated on the notional, a 1% move in the asset is a 1% move on the position and a 10% move on the margin at 10x.

Leverage on BRVX

Every BRVX market has its own leverage range, chosen when the position is opened. On BTC/USDT it runs from 5x to 150x; on NVDA/USDT the ceiling is 50x; on EUR/USDT it is 150x.

Fees are charged on the notional, not on the margin. A 1,000 USDT BTC position opened at 10x costs 1 USDT to open (0.1% of notional) whether it is opened at 2x or at 10x. Leverage makes the fee larger relative to the margin, not relative to the position.

  • At 10x on BTC/USDT, a move of roughly 7.81% against the position uses up the margin.
  • At 150x, that distance shrinks to about 0.33%.

What leverage does not change

It does not change the direction of the market or the odds of a trade working. It only scales the outcome. Higher leverage also brings the liquidation price closer to the entry, which is why the distance to liquidation is the number to check before choosing a multiplier.

Questions about Leverage

Is 10x leverage risky?

Yes. At 10x, a 10% move against the position is enough to use up the margin behind it, and fees bring that point slightly closer.

Does leverage increase fees?

Yes, in absolute terms. Fees are a percentage of the position size, and leverage makes the position larger for the same margin.

What is the maximum leverage on BRVX?

It depends on the market: 150x on BTC/USDT, 100x on ETH/USDT and 50x on NVDA/USDT. The app shows the limit for each market.

What is the minimum leverage on BRVX?

On BTC/USDT it is 5x. The app shows the range for each market before the position is opened.
