BRVX Glossary · Bullish divergence · Updated September 25, 2026
Bullish divergence occurs when price makes a lower low but a momentum indicator such as RSI or MACD makes a higher low. It suggests selling pressure is weakening and that a downtrend may be losing strength.
The formula
Price: Low₂ < Low₁ Indicator: Low₂ > Low₁
The disagreement between price and momentum is the signal.
How it works
- Price Lower low
- Indicator Higher low
- Reading Selling pressure fading
Confirming it
Divergence can repeat several times while price keeps falling. Traders wait for a trigger — a break of a recent swing high, a bullish candle at support — and place a stop below the latest low.
On BRVX
On a leveraged BRVX position, entering on divergence alone is costly if the downtrend continues: a 10x long loses about 10% of its margin for every 1% further down. Size the trade so the stop below the low is a loss you accept.
Questions about Bullish divergence
Is bullish divergence reliable?
It is an early warning, not a signal; it often precedes a bounce but can persist in strong downtrends.
Which indicator is best for divergence?
RSI and MACD are the most used.
What timeframe works best?
Higher timeframes give fewer, more meaningful divergences.
